Ruth Fishel, M. Ed., CADAC, LMHC, is the author of many books including just published STOP! DO YOU KNOW YOU'RE BREATHING? A Simple Guide for Teachers to Reduce Stress in the Classroom (Great for Parents, Too!), PRECIOUS SOLITUDE and the best selling TIME FOR JOY an over 230,000 best seller. She also developed and teaches STOP! DO YOU KNOW YOURE BREATHING? a unique stress reduction program to individuals, businesses, teachers, students and many more. Ruth is also a therapist, meditation teacher, national presenter, and retreat leader and a co-creator of SPIRITHAVEN OF CAPE COD. Ruth also co-founded and for fourteen years was the CEO of SERENITY, INC., a long term treatment program for recovering women and their families. While there, Ruth also used skills she developed as founder, owner and administrator of KEEP 'N TOUCH GREETING CARDS, INC., which she had built from a small start to national recognition. At Serenity she created a line of inspirational greeting cards and related products that she called INSPIRATIONS OF SERENITY and distributed them through a catalog distributed nationally. BOOKS by Ruth Fishel PRECIOUS SOLITUDE TAPES TIME FOR JOY Sandy Bierig, M.Ed., LMHC, LMFT In 1974, Sandy co-founded and for fourteen years was a co-director of Serenity, Inc., a multi-faceted substance-abuse treatment program for women in Natick, Massachusetts. At Serenity, Sandy designed and supervised the programs for Serenity House, the graduate program, the work training program and the outpatient program, New Connections. She also founded SPRING, the first full-time in-house substance abuse treatment program for women at the Massachusetts Correctional Institute for Women at Framingham. Since 1989, Sandy has been a co-owner of Spirithaven, Inc., on Cape Cod which continues to offer retreats for women in recovery, publications an a variety of topics. A licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Marriage and Family Therapist, Sandy has worked in her private practice with women, couples, and individuals groups.
